Service
Being a service sorority, every semester we look to better our community and selves through acts of service. Our sxsters have volunteered with the Pride Community Center, helped to distribute COVID vaccines, participate in Street Clean Ups, and done everything in between.

Boys and Girls Club of Brazos Valley
DKD Alpha Charter volunteers at the Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley typically at least twice a month during our Spring and Fall semesters. The Boys and Girls Club of the Brazos Valley offers programs and services that promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. The sxsters get a chance to connect with the kids within our community and embrace the joyful moments they bring into our lives.
Together We Rise
DKD Alpha Charter collaborated with the non-profit organization Together we Rise to raise money for the "Sweet Case" duffle bag program. This gives foster care children the opportunity to own a duffle bag hand decorated by a Sxster. The bags are then filled with comfort and hygiene items.
Akash's Libraries
DKD Alpha Charter fundraises money in support of Akash's libraries. Akash Bhattacharya Saha was brought into his parents' arms without a heartbeat on April 5, 2014. In honor of their son, Akash's parents committed themselves to building a series of school libraries in economically disadvantaged areas across the developing world.
